Delhi High Court asks Kejriwal to respond to ED challenge
India
Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been asked by the Delhi High Court to respond after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) challenged his acquittal in two excise policy cases.
The ED wants a fresh review of a trial court's decision from January that cleared Kejriwal.
The next hearing is set for April 29, 2026.
ED says Kejriwal ignored summons
The ED says Kejriwal ignored its summons and made things harder for investigators with what it called "frivolous objections."
But earlier, a trial court found there wasn't enough proof for these claims and let him off.
Now, the ED is pushing to overturn that acquittal in two separate cases linked to the excise policy case.
