Delhi to get 81-foot Lord Ram statue soon
Delhi is getting a massive new landmark: an 81-foot statue of Lord Ram will soon rise in Mangolpur Kalan Hanuman Mandir Park.
With a budget of ₹55 crore cleared, the project aims to add some serious cultural vibes to northwest Delhi.
No award or start date has been specified; the project is estimated to take about 18 months to complete.
Statue will be over 100 feet tall
This is not just tall: it will stand nearly 100 feet when you count its base and canopy.
The design shows Lord Ram blessing visitors from a lotus pedestal, bow in hand, with classic detailing.
Built with steel, bronze panels, and a strong RCC foundation, it is meant to last.
₹5 crore is going into landscaping and lighting
Besides the statue itself, another ₹5 crore is going into landscaping, lighting, and chill spots near the Mangolpur Kalan metro station.
The area already has a Hanuman temple and will now get skyline views similar to Jhandewalan's famous Hanuman statue, making it a new go-to spot for locals and anyone passing through.
