Delhi's AAP government finally approved a proposal for the procurement of 2,000 buses on Delhi's roads after a three-year delay. While 1,000 buses would be low-floor ones for the state-run Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), the other 1,000 would be cluster buses for Delhi Integrated Multi-modal Transit System (DIMTS). Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot tweeted these non-AC buses would be rolled out in a year.

Twitter Post
Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot tweeted

Congrats ! Delhi cabinet approves procurement of 2,000 buses (1,000 DTC & 1,000 cluster). DTC to maintain its own fleet now.
