Delhi's stray dog sterilization centers in crisis

India

Delhi's animal birth control (ABC) centers are struggling after a recent Supreme Court order stopped them from releasing sterilized stray dogs back onto the streets.
With limited space and supplies, some shelters have had to turn away new dogs, leaving both animals and staff in a tough spot.

ABC centers urgently need financial help

Most of Delhi's 20 ABC centers—like Krishna Ashram and Neighbourhood Woof—are already packed.
Delayed payments from the city government since March have only made things worse, forcing some shelters to pause new intakes.
Now, these centers are urgently asking for financial help so they can keep caring for the dogs they already have.
