DU admission 2018: Exam dates for B.El.Ed announced

Delhi University has announced the entrance exam dates for admission to the 405 seats under its Bachelors of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) course. The test is scheduled to be held on July 19 from 12-2pm in 18 examination centres across the country. Those applying must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks, and must have scored at least 50% in their subjects. Here's more.

Details of the exam pattern, marking scheme, and the like

The examination will consist of 100 non-descriptive, multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and can be taken in either English or Hindi. Questions will come from the fields of English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, and the Social Sciences, up to the Class 10 level. For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded four marks and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Details about DU's B.El.Ed course

The four-year integrated Bachelors of Elementary Education course under DU is only offered to female candidates, and is available across eight colleges in DU - Aditi Mahavidyalaya, Gargi College, Jesus & Mary College, Institute Home Economics, Lady Sri Ram College, Mata Sundri College for Women, Miranda House, and Shyama Prasad Mukherji College. Education theory, subject disciplines, and practical modules are taught in the course.
