Four police personnel killed in accident on MP highway
Four personnel, including three constables from Morena's bomb squad and a dog master from Bhind, lost their lives early Wednesday morning after their vehicle crashed into a container truck parked on the wrong side of National Highway-44 in Madhya Pradesh.
The collision happened between Bandri and Malthone around 4am.
Who was involved?
The victims were constables Pradhuman Dixit, Aman Kaurav, driver Paramlal Tomar (all from Morena), and Vinod Sharma, a dog master from Bhind.
Constable Rajiv Chauhan survived but is seriously injured and being treated in Bhopal.
Thankfully, the squad's sniffer dog made it out unharmed.
What happens next?
Police say the truck was parked on the wrong side of the highway, which likely caused the crash.
Investigations are underway to track down the truck driver, and rescue efforts started right after the accident.
Authorities have registered a case and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
