Gurugram: Man throws acid on woman following argument
A 24-year-old woman was seriously injured after a man who reportedly followed and confronted her attacked her with acid near Gurugram Civil Hospital on Sunday night (March 8, 2026).
The assault happened around 8:30pm and the attacker ran away immediately after.
She was at the Civil Hospital when the acid was thrown; hospital staff rushed her to the emergency ward, and she was later referred to PGIMS Rohtak.
Investigation underway, teams working to identify suspect
The woman had just visited her aunt in Subhash Nagar when she was confronted by the accused, leading to an argument.
Her family rushed her to get medical help right after the attack.
Police say they responded promptly: PRO Sandeep Turan shared that teams are working to identify and locate the suspect, while doctors confirmed she received immediate care and authorities were alerted without delay.
The investigation is ongoing.
