Haryana just set a national record when someone paid ₹1.17 crore for "HR88B8888," a plate loaded with lucky eights (and even the 'B' looks like an eight).
The auction drew 45 bidders and started at just ₹50K before things got wild.

UP's own number plate craze

Uttar Pradesh isn't far behind—here, a pharma company picked up "0001" for their Mercedes at ₹27.5 lakh.
Other hot numbers like "0004" and "0007" have also topped ₹9 lakh recently.
