Heavy rains flood Hyderabad, IMD issues alert

With more showers and gusty winds expected till June 14, the IMD has put out a yellow alert for rain and thunderstorms across all districts in Telangana, including Hyderabad.

Other Telangana districts like Adilabad and Jogulamba Gadwal could see heavy rain too, thanks to unstable weather, says IMD meteorologist KS Sridhar. Andhra Pradesh is bracing for rain and lightning over the next five days due to a cyclonic circulation near Bengal. In Karnataka's Dharwad district, waterlogging led to schools shutting for a day as the IMD issued a red alert with more rain likely until June 17.
