India plans Global Yoga Day celebrations
This June 21, India is taking yoga global—over 2,000 events will pop up in 1,300 cities across 191 countries for the International Day of Yoga.
Led by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), it's all about showing how yoga connects people everywhere and highlights India's cultural vibe.
Yoga for One Earth, One Health
The main 'Yoga Bandhan' program brings together top yoga experts from places like Brazil, Russia, China, and South Africa to lead sessions at iconic Indian spots like Jantar Mantar and Qutub Minar.
Even the Indian High Commission in Pakistan is joining in with a session in Islamabad.
This year's theme—"Yoga for One Earth, One Health"—is about linking personal well-being with caring for the planet.
With millions worldwide picking up yoga for health and stress relief, it's clear this ancient practice is having a serious moment right now.
