India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar says building good vibes with neighbors comes down to "mutual interest" and respect.
At the Economic Times World Leaders Forum, he explained that real partnerships work when both countries benefit and find common ground, especially when facing tough regional issues.
Jaishankar avoids Sheikh Hasina extradition comment
Jaishankar avoided commenting on Bangladesh's request to extradite former prime minister Sheikh Hasina but said any progress must pass the "test of mutual interest."
India and Bangladesh are trying to reschedule Tarique Rahman's visit to help patch things up.
He also called out Pakistan for using terrorism against India, saying it damages trust, and made it clear that peace along the border is essential for better ties with China.
