IndiGo cancels 600+ flights, leaving travelers stranded

India

IndiGo, India's biggest airline, has canceled over 600 flights since December 2 because of major operational issues—leaving thousands of travelers stuck.
The chaos peaked on December 4 with more than 400 cancelations in a single day.
IndiGo admitted to "misjudgment and planning gaps," and their on-time performance dropped sharply to just under 20%.

What's next for IndiGo flyers?

To get things back on track, IndiGo says it hopes to stabilize operations by February 10 and is asking for temporary rule changes around pilot work hours.
Flight reductions start from December 8, with more cancelations likely as they sort things out.
The airline is working closely with the government and says it's committed to minimizing disruptions—even as inadequate passenger-handling staff at Delhi Airport makes things trickier.
