Several attacks on civilians, policemen, and politicians have been reported in the Kashmir valley for the last few months. As per the police, militants from The Resistance Front have been carrying out targeted killings to disrupt peace.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Range, Vijay Kumar stated on Wednesday that police and security personnel have begun night patrols in remote areas of Kashmir where non-locals work and Kashmiri Pandits dwell in order to avert terrorist strikes on "soft targets." Meanwhile, J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha issued a statement on Monday, condemning the deadly terrorist attacks on civilians and CRPF personnel. "My deepest condolences to the family of martyred HC Vishal Kumar and prayers for the early recovery of the injured.
