Jaishankar to participate in Quad foreign ministers' meeting

India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar is set to join his counterparts from the US, Australia, and Japan in Washington, DC on July 1 for the Quad Foreign Ministers Meeting.
Hosted by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the gathering focuses on boosting teamwork for a safer and more open Indo-Pacific.
The Quad started after the 2004 tsunami but now works together on security and economic issues in the region.

TL;DR

Focus on China, global supply chains

This meeting addresses concerns about China's growing influence in the South China Sea—an area that affects global trade and security.
The ministers will focus on sticking to international rules and working together peacefully.
Plus, this sets up an even bigger Quad Leaders's Summit in India later this year.
Keeping this partnership strong is key for peace and reliable supply chains across Asia-Pacific—something that impacts everyone's future.
