Kedarnath chopper crash halts helicopter services

A tragic helicopter crash near Kedarnath has left seven people dead, including the pilot. The chopper, run by Aryan Aviation, lost contact soon after takeoff and crashed near Gaurikund. Most of the victims were from Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. Following this, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has paused all helicopter services to Kedarnath for two days to review and improve safety.

New control center to monitor flights

CM Dhami is pushing for tighter aviation rules and wants only experienced pilots flying these tough mountain routes. He's also called for a new control center to better monitor flights. Authorities have promised a full investigation into what went wrong, with Dhami assuring that anyone found responsible will face action—showing the state is serious about passenger safety going forward.
