The talks were held over contentious issues, with India leading consultations till 4:00am to bridge differences and build consensus among members.

Given the ongoing conflicts and rising tensions in West Asia, reaching consensus among Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE was a diplomatic challenge.

Putin speaks about 'new engines of growth'

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about "structural, deep, profound shifts" in the world at the BRICS Business Forum.

He said "new engines of growth" were replacing the "old leaders."

His comments were directed at both Western countries and those still engaging with Russia despite sanctions over Ukraine.

Putin stressed that Russia and its partners were ready to contribute to global energy and food security.
