Maharashtra transporters launch indefinite strike

Private bus and truck operators across Maharashtra have stopped services from July 1, kicking off an indefinite strike.
Their main gripe? Fines collected through e-challans.
The protest, led by the "Vahatukdar Bachao Kruti Samiti," has drawn strong support from transport groups statewide.

Demand for review of city no-entry timings

Transporters, represented by Baba Shinde from Pune, are demanding an immediate stop to e-challan fines and want existing penalties scrapped.
They're also asking for a rethink on rules that require a cleaner in heavy vehicles and want city no-entry timings reviewed—saying current policies just aren't working for them or the sector overall.
