Man murdered over extramarital affair in Lucknow
Sanjay Kumar, a 40-year-old cab driver from Mawai Kala village in Lucknow, was murdered at home late Sunday night.
Police believe the killing is tied to Kumar's relationship with Meera, a married woman whose husband Sunil had reportedly warned Kumar to end things before the attack.
Victim's mother saw the attack unfold
Kumar's mother, Ram Dulari, saw the attack unfold—she described how several men stormed in shouting and struck her son with a sharp weapon.
Even as Kumar tried to run, he was chased down and beaten again near a canal where he died.
Police have detained four people for questioning, including Sunil. A murder case has been filed and forensic teams are investigating while the victim's body undergoes post-mortem examination.
