    Mocked for dressing as women in videos, Chennai-man kills self

    A 24-year-old Chennai-based man took his life by jumping in front of a train on Wednesday, as he was upset with being ridiculed for dressing up as women in his videos, HT reports.

    The man, V Kalaiyarasan, of Kannikapuram in Vyasarpadi, uploaded his videos on the TikTok app.

    Police and people he knew said the mocking grew to such extent that Kalaiyarasan committed suicide.

    Parents scolded Kalaiyarasan for dressing up like women, reveals neighbor

    A neighbor of Kalaiyarasan said the criticism he got, affected him a lot. His parents scolded him for dressing up as women, a bit too often.

    A police official privy to the probe said after seeing his videos, many informed about it to his parents.

    The officer also said followers of Kalaiyarasan called him a eunuch or transgender.

    In last video, Kalaiyarasan had a message for haters

    Further, the officer said when they discovered Kalaiyarasan's body his smartphone was missing.

    In the last video which he posted, he said he would not be cowed down by haters and would continue doing things he liked.

    "Despite the fact that I have uploaded many male role videos, why the haters are hurting me ruthlessly when I am posing as a woman," he asked.

    The police are examining the social media accounts of Kalaiyarasan to gather evidence on the offenders. "We are examining the TikTok account of Kalaiyarasan. His friends are being quizzed. Soon we would nab the accused," an officer said.
