Modi to hoist 22-foot saffron flag atop Ram temple

India

On November 25, Prime Minister Modi will raise a huge 22-foot saffron flag on top of Ayodhya's newly completed Ram temple.
The flag—an impressive 11kg—will be lifted onto a 161-foot spire using a special automated system, with the Indian Army assisting in training and technical advice for the ceremony.
About 8,000 guests are expected, including key leaders like RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and UP Governor Anandi Ben Patel.

Five-day rituals before flag hoisting

Before the big moment, there's a five-day lineup of Vedic rituals led by seers from Ayodhya and Kashi, plus an arti for the Ram Parivar idols on the first floor.
Security is tight as guests start arriving before November 25.

Significance of the event

This ceremony isn't just about tradition—it marks when the temple becomes fully ready for worship after its January consecration.
The mix of faith and high-tech planning says a lot about how modern celebrations can honor deep-rooted culture in new ways.
