MP threat, fake fitness certificates: Woman doctor suicide note details

India

A 28-year-old woman doctor working at a government hospital in Satara, Maharashtra, died by suicide earlier this week.
In a note written on her palm, she accused Police Sub-Inspector Gopal Badane (a relative) of repeated rape and software engineer Prashant Bankar of ongoing mental harassment.
She also described being pressured for months to issue fake fitness certificates and explicitly mentioned threats from a Member of Parliament and his assistants.

Action taken in case so far

Police have arrested Bankar in Pune, while Badane is still missing and multiple teams are searching for him—he's been suspended from duty.
Both face charges of rape and abetment to suicide.
Maharashtra's Chief Minister has ordered the immediate suspension of the police officer named in the note and a full investigation.
The doctor's family says she had reported the harassment before but nothing changed, pointing to a troubling lack of action from authorities.
