Mumbai Metro Line 8: Making airport travel way easier

India

Mumbai's new Metro Line 8 is set to link the city's two biggest airports—CSMIA in Andheri and the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport.
The route starts at CSMIA Terminal 2, goes underground till Chhedanagar in Chembur, crosses Vashi Creek, and ends right inside NMIA.
Basically, getting between airports (or just across town) is about to get a whole lot simpler.

What else should you know?

NMIA, recently inaugurated by PM Modi, is set to begin commercial operations on December 25.
Metro Line 8 will feature 11 Navi Mumbai stations—including Vashi, Sanpada, and Nerul—with major interchanges at Nerul Sector-1 and Seawoods.
It'll help cut road traffic and make it way easier for students (hello DY Patil University!) and travelers to zip around the city.
