NIA cracks down on illegal arms trafficking across 3 states
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) just carried out big raids at 22 spots in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Haryana, targeting a network accused of moving illegal ammunition between states.
This action follows a major bust back in June, when police seized 3,700 live cartridges from a vehicle headed from Kanpur to Nalanda.
What went down during the raids
Teams hit homes, warehouses, and businesses—including a petrol pump and jewelry market shops—linked to suspected supplier "Sarafa."
Authorities grabbed digital devices and financial records as evidence.
Two people are now being questioned about their roles in the racket, but the main accused reportedly fled Auraiya with an aide just days before the raids.
The investigation is still on, with officials digging into connections with organized crime groups.
