Noida man arrested for murder and dismemberment of partner

India

In a disturbing case from Noida, 34-year-old Monu Solanki was arrested after allegedly admitting to police that he killed his partner, Preeti Yadav, after a fight broke out.
He admitted to slitting her throat and then dismembering her body in an attempt to hide what he'd done.
Preeti's remains were found scattered in drains across Noida and Ghaziabad on November 6.

How police cracked the case

Police formed nine teams, checked footage from over 5,000 CCTV cameras, and tracked more than 1,100 vehicles around the area.
Solanki's bus—spotted with its headlights off near the crime scene—became a key clue.
Forensic tests found human blood on a sickle and a mat from his bus.
Police have recovered Preeti's body parts and clothes from local drains, and Solanki is still in custody as the investigation continues.
