The Delhi Police have detained four suspects in connection with the blast near Red Fort. Raids are also being conducted at multiple locations by Delhi Police. The explosion occurred on Monday evening when a high-intensity blast ripped through a slow-moving car, a Hyundai i20, at a traffic signal near the Red Fort metro station. The death toll in the blast rose to 12 on Tuesday, with three more people succumbing to injuries, police said.

The Delhi Police have registered a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Explosives Act at Kotwali Police Station. The police are also probing CCTV footage that shows the suspect's car entering and exiting a parking lot near Red Fort. Investigators are tracing this route toward Daryaganj, with over 100 CCTV clips being reviewed to establish the vehicle's complete movement.
