PM Modi receives 'Dharma Chakravarti' title at Vidyanand's centenary
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honored with the 'Dharma Chakravarti' title during a special event in Delhi marking 100 years since the birth of Jain saint Acharya Vidyanand.
This ceremony kicked off a year-long celebration of Vidyanand's legacy, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Mahaveer Ahimsa Bharti Trust.
Acharya Vidyanand's life and works
Acharya Vidyanand, born in Karnataka in 1925, was a major figure in Jainism—he memorized thousands of ancient verses, wrote over 50 books on Jain philosophy, and even designed the official Jain Flag.
The centenary will feature events focused on sharing Jain culture and values.
