A deadly collision between two Tamil Nadu government buses near Kummangudi in Sivaganga district on Sunday evening left at least 10 people dead and over 20 injured, an NDTV report said. The accident took place around five kilometers from Pillaiyarpatti in the Tirupattur area, reports said. One bus was traveling from Tiruppur to Karaikudi, while the other was going from Karaikudi to Dindigul district.

Eyewitnesses described a gruesome scene at the accident site, with the driver's side of one bus completely wrenched off. A police officer confirmed to NDTV that "at least 10 were killed and 20 passengers suffered injuries." Last week, six people were killed in the Tenkasi district when two buses collided, with reckless driving by one bus suspected as a cause.
