Tamil Nadu: 36 dead, over 50 injured in stampede at Vijay's rally

A campaign rally in Tamil Nadu on Saturday, led by actor-turned-politician Vijay, ended in tragedy after a stampede killed 36 people and injured more than 50.
The event was part of Vijay's push for the 2026 state elections.
Sadly, eight children were among those who lost their lives, according to Health Minister Ma Subramanian.

Videos showed Vijay throwing water bottles to fainting supporters and calling for police help as panic spread.
