Residents of from Chittaranjan Park in Delhi organized a hunt for a missing road in the locality, and even offered a Rs. 10,000 reward for anyone who finds it. The DDA said traffic from the mall would be diverted through a road, which does not exist except in zonal-maps.

What is the case about?

The DDA in 2007, sought approval for the construction of Delhi's second-biggest mall in the area. However, residents protested saying the mall would lead to chaotic traffic conditions. The DDA said a road would allow free movement of traffic from Alaknanda to Ring Road, but this road only exists on maps. There is a park, government building and school where the road supposedly exists.
