UP: Shootout in illegal cow slaughter raid leaves wanted criminal dead

A major police operation in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh ended with the death of Haseen alias Shatir—a wanted criminal facing over 25 cases, including attempted murder.
Police were conducting an operation in Kapoorpur for illegal cow slaughter when they confronted Haseen, who had a ₹50,000 bounty on his head.

Haseen fired at police, missed shot hit station house officer

Acting on a tip-off around midnight, police spotted a suspicious Swift Dzire.
As officers closed in, Haseen fired at them but missed the station house officer.
The shootout left Haseen injured; he later died at the hospital.
Police recovered a country-made pistol and the car from the scene.
