UP woman murders children for 'Honeymoon' with lover
In Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, a 24-year-old woman named Muskan has been arrested for allegedly murdering her two young children by giving them poisoned sweets.
Police say she did this to clear the way for an extramarital relationship with a man named Junaid.
The children—five-year-old Arhan and one-year-old Inaaya—tragically died after eating the sweets.
Muskan had planned to run away with Junaid
Muskan's husband, Waseem, was working out of state when the incident happened.
According to police, Muskan admitted to the crime and had planned to run away with Junaid afterward.
Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar shared that "the accused has been arrested and Junaid is absconding."
Investigators are now piecing together what led up to this double murder and looking into all possible motives.
