Who is Choorah Singh? Air India official under DGCA scrutiny
Choorah Singh, a senior leader at Air India's flight operations center, has been removed from all crew scheduling duties by India's aviation regulator (DGCA).
This comes after repeated lapses in following crew rest and licensing rules during Air India's switch to a new management system.

Who is Choorah Singh?
With over 20 years in aviation across Europe and India, Singh started out at Ryanair and later led operations at Emerald Airlines.
He's worked on safety policies with European aviation groups too.
Academically, he holds a Computer Science degree and an MSc in Management and Aviation Leadership.
Scheduling issues linked to Singh
Singh was directly linked to the scheduling failures that triggered DGCA action—especially serious after the recent Ahmedabad plane crash put safety under the spotlight.
The move shows regulators are taking compliance seriously, reminding airlines that following safety rules isn't optional.
