What's the story

In a shocking incident in Kurukshetra, Haryana, a woman allegedly killed her husband. The couple lived in a rented house near Raj Palace on Pehowa Road. The landlord, Rinku, heard them arguing around 5:00pm and rushed to the terrace, where he found Rajesh lying in a pool of blood with severe abdominal injuries. He saw Vimla allegedly putting Rajesh's intestines into a bag.

On seeing Rinku, she reportedly panicked and jumped off the terrace. She was injured in the fall and is currently hospitalized. Police are attempting to record her statement.

Rajesh, a native of Dhampur village in Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur district, had been living with Vimla in Kurukshetra for nearly a year.

A post-mortem examination revealed Rajesh's abdomen was cut open to around 35cm with deep wounds from sharp-edged weapons. His intestines had come out of the abdominal cavity, and a large part of his liver and right kidney were missing.

Three knives of different sizes were recovered from the crime scene.

Station House Officer Surinder Singh and police teams have examined the scene and collected forensic evidence.

The landlord said Vimla was into traditional healing and exorcism practices, and the couple often fought. However, the motive behind the alleged murder is still unknown.

Rajesh and Vimla had been married for several years but had no children.

Police are now probing their relationship history, past disputes, and circumstances leading to this incident.

The investigation will be based on Vimla's statement, forensic evidence collected from the scene of crime, and post-mortem report findings.
