Kejriwal took Rs. 6cr bribe for ticket: AAP candidate's son

Just a day before Delhi goes to polls, a new controversy has erupted which could ruin Aam Aadmi Party's chances in Lok Sabha. On Saturday, the son of an AAP candidate claimed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took Rs. 6 crore in exchange of a ticket. The sensational allegation was leveled by Balbir Singh Jakhar's son Uday. Balbir is contesting from West Delhi seat.

My father paid money to Kejriwal: Uday

Uday claimed he spoke up as he had to make his "conscious clear". He said he had proofs to support his statement. Speaking to ANI, Uday said his father joined politics three months ago and was given a chance to contest after he paid money to AAP Chief Kejriwal. "I may have some serious risk to my life for making the charge," he added.

Uday claimed his father tried to help 1984 riots accused

Uday went on to say that his father tried to bail out 1984 riots accused and former Congress leader Sajjan Kumar. "A person who has aligned himself with someone like Sajjan Kumar should have no place in the Parliament," Uday said, openly defying his father Balbir. Uday also pointed out that Kejriwal spoke about removing corruption, but the ground reality is very different.

    Kejriwal dissolved into corruption: Uday

"Someone like Kejriwal, who himself was in the IRS has himself dissolved into corruption. The other factor which angered me is that he got a lot of money from Sajjan Kumar to represent him, to bail him out," Uday told Republic TV.

Uday is unhappy with his father's ideologies

Uday claimed his father has aligned himself with the Tukde Tukde Gang, and he was shocked when he learned about it. "I could not tolerate that... The Tukde Tukde Gang is getting powerful every day and seeping into our homes and trying to portray themselves as victims," Uday said. However, Uday underscored that he himself didn't witness any acts of bribery.

I am a nationalist, would have gone to police: Uday

"I am a staunch nationalist. I cannot see anything going against the Constitution or the country. If I had been witness to it I would have straight away went to the police," Uday said.
