Born on November 28, 1947, Suresh ‘Bhaiyyaji’ Joshi has been inclined toward Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) from a very early age. He has served as the General Secretary of RSS between 2009 to 2021 and had to resign due to health issues and was replaced by Dattatreya Hosabale. He was also appointed as the RSS Pracharak in 1975. Born in Indore, Joshi moved to Thane to pursue his higher studies and graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Arts and worked in a company in Mumbai for a while. Joshi is widely known to play a key role in the growth and development of RSS in Uttar Pradesh and he is also a strong opponent of Christian proselytism in the country. He also claimed that the missionaries are targeting and exploiting poor Hindus to convert them.
