That's all for today.
It is important to note that exit polls in India are projections based on voter surveys conducted after polling and may not always reflect the final results accurately. They should be considered as indicative trends rather than definitive predictions, as actual outcomes can differ once all votes are counted.
Meanwhile, the exit poll figures indicate a close contest in Jammu and Kashmir. However, three pollsters—Dainik Bhaskar, India Today-C Voter, and Peoples Pulse—are giving the Congress-National Conference alliance an advantage, projecting at least 35 seats for the coalition. The BJP is expected to secure a minimum of 20 seats, while the People's Democratic Party (PDP) is projected to win between four and seven seats. Notably, this election is particularly significant as it marks the first since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, which resulted in the division of the former state into the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference and Congress are jointly contesting, while the PDP and BJP are running independently.
Let's do a recap.
According to NDTV’s Poll of Polls, the Congress is expected to make a comeback in Haryana, with projections suggesting it will secure between 55 and 62 seats. A party or coalition requires 46 seats to achieve a majority in the 90-member Haryana Assembly. Meanwhile, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which was looking for a third consecutive victory in the state, is projected to win between 20 and 32 seats.

On J&K exit poll predictions, Congress leader Tariq Anwar said, "There was a possibility of Congress alliance to gain seats and government will be formed. The number of seats that are being shown now I am sure that Congress-NC will get more number of seats."

The Congress is predicted to win three to six seats, while the People's Democratic Party (PDP) is anticipated to secure five to seven seats. Let's do a quick recap of exit poll predictions for 2024 Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections.
Three pollsters—Dainik Bhaskar, India Today-C Voter, and Peoples Pulse—are predicting an advantage for the National Conference-Congress alliance, projecting a minimum of 35 seats for the coalition. The BJP is expected to follow with at least 20 seats, while the PDP is projected to secure between 4 and 7 seats.
According to the Dhruv Research exit polls, the Congress is projected to secure between 50 and 64 seats in Haryana's 90-seat assembly, surpassing the majority mark of 46. The BJP is anticipated to win 22 to 32 seats, while the AAP, INLD, and JJP are expected to have minimal impact, with other parties likely to claim 2 to 8 seats.
The latest exit polls from Datansh and Red Mike project a significant lead for the Congress in Haryana, with numbers suggesting the party will secure between 50 and 55 seats. Meanwhile, the BJP is expected to trail behind, with predictions of winning 20 to 25 seats.
"In Haryana, Congress will win around 55-65 seats. I want to thank the people of the state," said Congress leader Ashok Tanwar on exit poll predictions for Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir.
To recall, just days before the Haryana assembly elections, former Lok Sabha MP Tanwar joined the Congress.
Tanwar, who had previously joined the BJP ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, made the switch in the presence of Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha. His decision came as both a surprise and a setback for the BJP. Interestingly, his switch came just hours after he had made a social media post in support of a BJP candidate.
The India Today-C Voter pollster predicts that the BJP will achieve the highest vote share in the Jammu region, estimated at 41%, with projections of winning 27 to 31 seats. The NC-Congress alliance is expected to follow with a 37% vote share, translating to 11 to 15 seats, while the PDP is projected to secure a 4% vote share, potentially winning 0 to 2 seats.
There are 43 seats in the Jammu region of the erstwhile state.
The Republic Bharat-Matrize exit poll projects that the Congress will secure between 55 and 62 seats in Haryana, while the BJP is expected to win between 18 and 24 seats.
After Peoples Pulse, the Dainik Bhaskar pollster has also indicated an advantage for the National Conference-Congress alliance, projecting them to win between 35 and 40 seats. The BJP is expected to secure 20 to 25 seats, while the People's Democratic Party (PDP) is anticipated to win 4 to 7 seats.
