Kalraj Mishra is an Indian politician who is serving as the Governor of Rajasthan, as of 2021. He has formerly served as the Cabinet Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in the BJP-led NDA government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has also served as the former Governor of Himachal Pradesh. Mishra was also a former member of the Parliament from the Deoria constituency in Uttar Pradesh from 2014-2019. He was born on July 1, 1941, in Uttar Pradesh and completed his education at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith in Varanasi. Mishra turned into a swayamsevak of RSS in 1955 and in 1963, he became a purnkalik pracharak of RSS. He was also the first person to be appointed as the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. Mishra has also led a campaign demanding that highways should be made crater-free in all states. He has also played a crucial role in the formation of Uttarakhand. Mishra was also a member of Rajya Sabha for three terms - 1978, 2001, and 2006. In 1973, he got married to Satyawati Mishra and the couple has two sons and a daughter.
