PM Modi to launch slew of projects in poll-bound Gujarat
PM Narendra Modi is in his home-state Gujarat for the third time in October to inaugurate various projects as BJP wants to do everything it can to retain power in the upcoming Gujarat assembly elections. Ro-Ro ferry service, PM Modi's dream project
PM Narendra Modi is going to launch his "dream project", the Rs. 615cr Ro-Ro ferry service between Bhavnagar's Ghogha and Saurashtra's Dahej in the Gulf of Cambay. The service reduces the distance from 310km (by road) to just 31km, and cuts down the travel time from 7-8 hours to over an hour, especially benefitting those working in Surat's diamond cutting and polishing hub.

PM Modi to take Ro-Ro ferry from Ghogha to Dahej
PM Narendra Modi will take the Ro-Ro ferry on its inaugural journey from Ghogha to Dahej and address a gathering after arriving there. Gujarat Maritime Board CEO Ajay Bhadoo said, "It is a complex project which involves complicated marine structure of the Gulf of Cambay."
Rs. 1,140cr-worth projects to be launched in Vadodara
From Dahej, PM Modi would leave for Vadodara where he would inaugurate and also lay foundation stones for various developmental and infrastructure projects worth over Rs. 1,140cr. Vadodara Municipal Commissioner, Vinod Rao, said Modi would inaugurate Rs. 267cr Waste-to-Energy Processing Plant, Rs. 100cr City Command and Control Centre, Rs. 125cr Janmahal City Transport Hub and Multi-Level Parking, Rs. 160cr Multi-Modal City Transport Hub.

Other projects
Other projects to be inaugurated by PM Modi in Vadodara include a Rs. 166cr Water Treatment Plant, two flyovers worth Rs. 265cr, Rs. 55cr Deer Safari park, and a Rs. 6cr veterinary hospital. He would also address a public meeting at Vadodara's Navlakhi Compound.
