93% of Indian designers use AI tools, Figma survey reveals
What's the story
A recent YouGov survey commissioned by Figma found that an overwhelming 93% of Indian designers already use these AI tools in their work. The same survey also revealed that 85% of the respondents think AI has simplified coding, showing how much the Indian design community is adopting these advanced technologies. This comes as Figma accelarates its expansion in India, with its first office. It has also introduced a range of new artificial intelligence (AI) tools for designers and developers.

Design impact
Design's growing influence
As AI tools become more accessible, Sheila Vashee, Chief Marketing Officer at Figma, said design has entered boardroom conversations and is influencing strategy. "As more people have access to AI tools, designs created will look more generic. So, design is now driving conversations and strategy," she added. This highlights the growing importance of design in business decision-making processes in today's digital age.
