    These smartphones will soon receive Android Pie update: Complete list

    Google's latest mobile operating system, Android Pie 9, was launched a few weeks ago at the company's 2018 I/O Developers Conference. Google's existing Pixel phones and Essential PH-1 got the update on the release day itself while other eligible devices were expected to soon receive it. And now, all major OEMs have shared their Android Pie update schedule. Here's a detailed list.

    Android Pie update for OnePlus smartphones

    Days after releasing the Android Pie-based Open Beta, OnePlus has released the stable build for its OnePlus 6 flagship. Moreover, the Shenzhen-based company has confirmed that OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 will get Android 9 Pie update but has not given a timeline. Further, XDA Developers has found unofficial AOSP Android Pie ports for the OnePlus X and OnePlus 2.

    Android Pie release for Nokia smartphones

    Back in May, HMD Global announced that all Android-powered Nokia phones will receive Pie update. And now, Nokia 7 Plus has become the first phone in its family to receive the stable version of Android 9 Pie. Further, Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus will get the update by October-end, while Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 8 will receive it by November-end.

    Android update for Xiaomi smartphones

    Xiaomi has rolled out Android Pie-based MIUI 10 open beta ROM its Mi Mix 2s and Mi 8 flagship smartphones. Users of both the aforementioned smartphones can flash the update onto their devices via the recovery method or the fastboot method. Notably, the Xiaomi-backed Poco F1 will also get the Android Pie update, the company has confirmed. However, we don't have a schedule yet.

    Huawei has also kicked-off its Android Pie-based EMUI 9.0 update

    Huawei announced its Android Pie-based EMUI 9.0 update and kicked off its beta program during IFA 2018. The first set of eligible devices include Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Mate 10, Huawei P20 Pro, Huawei P20, Honor 10, Honor View 10 and Honor Play.

    Android Pie update for Sony smartphones

    Starting November, the Android Pie OS will be first released for the premium-range Sony smartphones including the Sony Xperia XZ2, Xperia XZ2 Premium, Xperia XZ2 Compact, Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact and Xperia XZ Premium. In the second release, expected by early 2019, Sony's mid-range devices including the Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Plus, and Xperia XA2 Ultra will get the Android Pie OS.

    Motorola has also confirmed its Android Pie update schedule

    Lenovo-owned Motorola has also recently announced its Android Pie update schedule. The company has said that it will be releasing the latest Android software update to eight of its smartphones starting this Fall. These smartphones are the Moto Z3, Moto Z3 Play, Moto Z2 Force Edition, Moto Z2 Play, Moto X4, Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 Plus.

    Android Pie update for Vivo and OPPO smartphones

    Meanwhile, Vivo has confirmed that Vivo X21 and the company's other premium smartphones will get the update in the last quarter of 2018. Lastly, OPPO is yet to announce its Android Pie update schedule.
