Bengaluru teens win global prize for life-saving ambulance app

Technology

Four students from The International School Bangalore recently won the Global Grand Prize at Technovation Girls 2025 for their app, Ambulink.
Designed to tackle ambulance delays in Bengaluru's hectic traffic, Ambulink helps ambulances reach emergencies faster with smarter location tracking and navigation.
Out of 33,000 teams from 117 countries, they were the only Asian finalists—pretty impressive!

How Ambulink works and what's next

Ambulink connects users to nearby ambulances (within 10km), lets you track them live, suggests hospitals based on your needs, and even uses ChatGPT for quick emergency tips.
The team built the prototype after talking to doctors and transport pros.
Next up: teaming with traffic authorities for smoother rides and adding AI-powered language translation so help can reach more people in a crunch.
