Chennai-based Agnikul raises $17 million in Series C funding

Technology

Agnikul Cosmos, a spacetech startup from Chennai, just snagged $17 million in Series C funding on 22 November 2025, bumping its total raise to over $58 million.
The round saw backing from Advenza Global Limited, Atharva Green Ecotech LLP, HDFC Bank and others—pushing the company's valuation to $500 million.

What does Agnikul actually do?

Agnikul builds and launches fully 3D-printed rockets designed for micro and nano satellites up to 500kg.
Their big goal? Affordable space launches with reusable tech—think booster recovery on ocean barges.
This fresh funding will help them gear up for their second orbital mission and expand globally across Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and the US.

Milestones worth noting

Operating out of IIT Madras, Agnikul is preparing for its first commercial reusable rocket launch, expected soon.
They're aiming to send their first rocket "Agnibaan" into orbit soon and are planning a massive 350-acre space campus in Tamil Nadu.
Plus, they hold reusability patents in the US, Europe and India—a pretty solid track record so far!
