Google launches Wear OS 7 for Pixel Watch: Live updates
Google just launched Wear OS 7 for Pixel Watch, rolling out alongside Android 17. Expect up to 10% better battery life thanks to deep system tweaks.
The big new thing is Live Updates; now you can see real-time sports scores or delivery updates with a persistent icon at the bottom of your watch face and a card at the top of the notifications feed, with tapping showing the real-time status and other details.
Media controls, audio glasses, Gemini intelligence
Wear OS 7 adds a media output switcher so you can control music or podcasts on your headphones or speakers straight from your wrist.
There's also support for new hardware like audio glasses arriving this fall, plus instant photo previews on your watch for quick review.
Later this year, Gemini Intelligence will bring smarter automation and a revamped interface to select Wear OS 7 devices, and Tiles are getting rebranded as Widgets for more personalized dashboards.
