Google's AI assistant Gemini now available in India
Google just rolled out its new AI assistant, Gemini, for Chrome users in India, Canada, and New Zealand.
It works on macOS, Windows, and Chromebook Plus devices, supports more than 50 languages (including Hindi and Bengali), and comes with a subscription at ₹1,950 a month for 2TB of storage.
It can summarize web pages, explain stuff, and compare products
Gemini lives in a handy sidebar, summarizing web pages, explaining stuff you don't get, comparing products across the current tab and up to 10 other tabs (up to 11 tabs total), and chatting with you live.
It can also generate or edit images using Nano Banana tech.
Plus, it connects with Gmail, Calendar, YouTube, and Maps to help you plan trips or shop without switching tabs.
Gemini can fill forms or book things for you
The Auto Browse feature lets Gemini fill forms or book things for you (with your confirmation).
With Chrome holding about 70% of the browser market (roughly 69.9%), Google is clearly aiming to outpace rivals like ChatGPT Atlas and Copilot Mode in Edge by making browsing way smarter and more seamless for everyone.
