Grammarly buys Superhuman to boost AI productivity suite
Grammarly, the writing tool you probably know from school or work, is getting serious about AI. They've snapped up Superhuman, a startup known for its fast, AI-powered email experience.
Both companies are based in San Francisco, but the price tag stays secret for now.
Superhuman was last valued at $825 million in 2021 and brings in about $35 million a year.
Grammarly's vision for the future
With over 40 million people using Grammarly daily and $1 billion in fresh funding from General Catalyst, they're aiming to be more than just a grammar checker.
CEO Shashir Mehrotra says email eats up hours every day—so combining forces with Superhuman could help users handle messages way faster and even tackle tasks like scheduling and collaboration soon.
Superhuman's team is joining Grammarly
Superhuman's team (including founder Rahul Vohra) is joining Grammarly to keep building out their tools.
As big names like Google and Microsoft add more AI features, this move means you might see smarter email writing—and maybe even better ways to manage your digital life—all inside Grammarly.
