Home Ministry launches GRM and MRM portals aiding cyber victims
Technology
The Ministry of Home Affairs just rolled out two handy portals, GRM and MRM, to make life a bit easier for anyone hit by cyber scams.
Announced today, these tools are designed to help people get their frozen bank accounts reviewed and even recover money lost in online frauds.
GRM reviews frozen accounts MRM refunds
With the GRM portal, you can quickly request a review if your bank account gets frozen due to suspected cybercrime.
The MRM portal lets you apply for refunds if any money is recovered after you file a complaint.
Both platforms connect police, banks, and the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP), making it simpler to get help fast.
If you ever face cyber fraud, authorities recommend calling 1930 or reporting to the NCRP right away.
