    What's the story

iQOO's recently-launched handset, the 9 SE, has gone on sale in India on Tuesday via Amazon. To recall, it was introduced last month.

It starts at Rs. 33,990 for the 8GB/128GB model.

A discount of Rs. 3,000 is available with ICICI Bank credit cards along with extra Rs. 3,000 bump-up exchange value. Existing iQOO customers can avail up to Rs. 10,000 bump-up exchange bonus.

    Context

    Why does this story matter?

The iQOO 9 SE was introduced in India alongside the vanilla 9 and 9 Pro. It is the cheapest handset in the trio and is also the last of the lot to go on sale here.

The 9 SE is an India-specific phone that is intended for those who want to experience the company's flagship features at a comparatively affordable price.

    Display

The handset features a 120Hz AMOLED display

The iQOO 9 SE sports a centrally-aligned punch-hole cut-out, slim bezels, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it has a vertical camera unit.

The smartphone bears a 6.62-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,300-nits of peak brightness, and HDR10+ certification.

It is offered in Space Fusion and Sunset Sierra color options.

    Information

It has a 48MP main camera

    The iQOO 9 SE flaunts a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) primary shooter, a 13MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) mono sensor. Up front, it sports a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper.

    Internals

A Snapdragon 888 chip powers the device

The iQOO 9 SE is fueled by a Snapdragon 888 chipset, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

At the heart, it boots Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12 and houses a 4,500mAh battery with 66W fast-charging support.

For connectivity, the handset offers support for Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, and a Type-C port.
