Kindle's new "Ask this book" lets you chat with your reads
Amazon just dropped a cool update for Kindle iOS: "Ask This Book."
Now, you can highlight any passage and ask the AI assistant spoiler-free questions about the plot, characters, or themes.
It works on thousands of top English-language books and will hit Kindle devices and Android in 2026.
How it works
Just open the in-book menu, pick "Ask This Book," highlight what interests you, and type (or tap) your question.
You can keep chatting if you want more details.
Amazon says this feature is always on—authors and publishers can't turn it off.
Free for now—but there's more to the story
"Ask This Book" is free in the Kindle iOS app at launch, with no extra charges announced yet.
