Kobo unveils Stack subscription to sync e-books and documents
Kobo just dropped Kobo Stack, a new subscription that lets you upload and sync e-books and documents across your devices, kind of like Amazon's Send to Kindle, but with a monthly fee (C$3.99 and £2.99).
It's rolling out in Canada, the UK Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Spain (sorry US folks), and there's a 90-day free trial if you want to test it out.
Kobo 6.0 supports 200MB uploads
With the latest 6.0 update, you can upload EPUB or PDF files up to 200MB via the web or email on recent Kobos like Clara BW, Clara Colour, Libra Colour, and Elipsa 2E. More devices from 2018 to 2024 will be added soon.
You also get perks like linking multiple library cards for borrowing books through Libby, faster stylus response for note-taking fans, bigger font options for accessibility, and support for protected EPUBs.
If you ever cancel your subscription, there's a friendly 60-day window to back up your stuff before it disappears.
