What's the story

As the latest addition to its portfolio of smart TVs in India, LG has introduced a pair of new televisions in the country. The two models, available in 55-inch and 43-inch sizes, are based on the ThinQ AI platform and feature 4K LED displays along with HDR, DTS Sound, and quad-core processors. Here's all about them.

Video and audio

Both models feature 4K LED displays with 4K Active HDR

Both the LG UHD Smart TV models come with 4K LED displays with 3840*2160 pixels resolution, wide viewing angle support, 4K Active HDR and HDR 10 Pro support. However, the refresh rate on these TVs is just 50Hz. Meanwhile, the audio capabilities are handled by a 20W 2.0 channel speaker system which supports DTS Virtual: X surround sound and 2-way Bluetooth audio playback.

Specifications

You also get Google Assistant and Alexa on both TVs

The new LG TVs are powered by a quad-core processor, paired with 1.5GB of RAM and an in-house graphics processor. Both models are based on the company's ThinQ AI platform and run on WebOS which brings support for Google Assistant as well as Alexa. LG has also confirmed that support for Apple AirPlay and HomeKit will be added via an update later this year.

Information

You also get access to Netflix, Hotstar, and Amazon Prime

Thanks to WebOS support, both the models host a dedicated content store which offers apps for popular streaming services like Netflix, Hotstar, Amazon Prime, YouTube, ZEE5, Eros Now and many more. However, you will require an active subscription to enjoy most of these services.
